  1. A strange headline, given the military’s checkered role in telling lies to cover up misconduct or falsely claim credit, fomenting coups & direct regime change and illegal partnerships in war crimes (Yemen, for a current example).

    Veterans Day started out as Armistice Day, celebrating peace — not militarism & war.
