To Anna Smith:
Is there an accepted, reasonably-authoritative definition of ‘affordable housing’?
(Some people have suggested that $1500/mo for an apartment is affordable housing.)

Autocorrect error: should read ‘$1500/mo + for an apartment’
Good question. As a ‘single person/single earner’ household, $1500 is in the ‘daunting’ range for me. It also depends on what’s included – am I paying utilities (and what kind of heat) and/or garbage? I will confirm that the options are limited, all over Bethlehem (not just the South Side).
